Include but are not limited to:

  • Bruising should be expected with this treatment
  • Redness and Swelling in the treated areas.
  • Pain and discomfort – minimal during treatment but can be experienced for several days afterward while the threads settle
  • Infection – uncommon but can occur due to the broken skin barrier
  • Nerve pain/neuralgia – a rare potential complication

After treatment care can help this resolve faster and includes

  • Cool compress 2-4 hourly after the treatment for 24-48 hours
  • Application of Arnica cream
  • Paracetamol 4-6 hourly, and we also recommend taking an antihistamine to help reduce inflammation
  • We recommend you sleep with an extra pillow having your head slightly more elevated for 3-5 nights
  • Be gentle when washing or shaving your face
  • Avoid extreme UV exposure, contact sports, dentists, saunas and being overly expressive with your face for the next 2 weeks
  • Avoid significant massage of your face for 4 weeks
